The Ukrainian flag is flying at Saint-Lambert City Hall as a sign of solidarity

Thursday 17 March 2022

As a sign of solidarity with Ukraine and support for its people, the Ville de Saint-Lambert has raised the Ukrainian flag in front of its city hall.

This symbolic gesture condemns the Russian invasion and the extremely violent acts being perpetrated in this country. It thus reminds the public of the importance of defending our individual liberties and the democracy that form the foundations of our society.

“We are deeply concerned and greatly distressed by this unacceptable conflict that we are witnessing. On behalf of the members of city council and the entire Saint-Lambert population, I extend my sincerest wishes of friendship and solidarity to the Ukrainian people and to all those who, from near or far, are impacted by this war,” declared Mayor Pascale Mongrain.

The Ville de Saint-Lambert invites residents who wish to support the Ukrainian people to donate money or materials to the Canadian Red Cross. All the details are available at croixrouge.ca.

You can also donate various items directly to the L'Église de l'Assomption-de-la-Bienheureuse-Vierge-Marie (6185 10th Avenue, Montreal, H1Y 2H5). Medication, dehydrated food, and grocery or pharmacy gift cards would be greatly appreciated. To see the complete list of accepted items, click here.
